Naming Ceremony of the Sudri Enabler
Last Saturday 4th May, took place in GONDAN’s facilities in Figueras, Castropol, the sponsoring ceremony of Sudri Enabler, Commissioning Service Operation Vessel, for the Norwegian shipowner Edda Wind ASA. In this event, GONDAN has had the pleasure to count with the presence of representatives of the management of the shipowner Edda Wind and its board of directors. The godmother was Martha Kold Monclair.
The vessel, designed by Salt Ship Design, has a length of 88.3 m and a beam of 19.7 m, accommodates 120 people – 97 technicians and 23 crew members – and will be dedicated to supporting offshore wind platforms. It will be equipped with the most modern and automated equipment, including a 3D offset offshore crane, an offset offshore gangway with a reach of 30 m, an integrated lift with a capacity for 26 people and an 18-metre heliport. In addition, the vessel stands out for its innovative propulsion system of cycloidal propellers driven by permanent magnet motors, and is prepared for future use of hydrogen (LOHC), with the ambitious goal of operating with zero carbon emissions.
In the coming weeks, Sudri Enabler will leave the Eo estuary to set course for the Port of Gijón, where it will complete its sea trials programme.
