Launching of GRP Catamaran “Pirata de Canexol”

On March 29, the hull of the newest GONDAN GRP Division’s construction, the “Pirata de Canexol” catamaran, built for the owner Naviera Nabia, hit the water for the first time.
The operation was carried out successfully, with good weather, and optimal tide conditions.
Featuring GONDAN’s highly optimized hull, built with special side conducts designed to displace water from the waves during navigation, reducing sea-sickness and lessening vertical acceleration, this 24m-catamaran can comfortably transport up to 250 passengers by the Ría de Vigo.
After being towed to the port of Ribadeo, the catamaran was moored at Porcillán quay, where she will remain for engine start-up, calibration, and sea trials until the delivery scheduled for late April.
