GONDAN welcomes the Principality of Asturias Fire Service to strengthen emergency coordination
As part of its ongoing commitment to safety and risk prevention, GONDAN has launched a series of working visits and technical inspections in collaboration with the Principality of Asturias Fire Service and the 112 Emergency Service. This initiative aims to strengthen ties of collaboration and improve mutual understanding between the public firefighting services and the shipyard’s in-house emergency team, thereby optimising response protocols in the event of any incident arising during shipbuilding operations.
During the meetings, described as highly enlightening by those attending, the crews were able to familiarise themselves in depth with the layout of the facilities, access points and the shipyard’s specific operational characteristics.
The technical programme included an institutional visit by the Asturias Fire Service Headquarters and the management of 112 Asturias to strengthen high-level strategic coordination.
Through these meetings, GONDAN reaffirms its commitment to continuous improvement in occupational health and safety as one of the fundamental pillars of its industrial activity, ensuring seamless coordination with the region’s public emergency services.
