GONDAN Shipyards honored with the Forbes | UBS Award for Sustainable Excellence 2025
At GONDAN Shipyards, we have been honored with the Award for Sustainable Excellence at the Forbes | UBS Sustainability Awards 2025, a recognition that highlights our commitment to a responsible, innovative, and environmentally friendly industrial model.
The award was collected by Álvaro Platero Díaz, president of GONDAN, accompanied by Alvaro Platero Alonso, vice president of the company, during the ceremony held in Madrid. In his speech, he highlighted the value of the joint work of all the professionals who form part of the shipyard and the importance of integrating sustainability as a cornerstone of industrial development.
For years, GONDAN has been promoting projects aimed at reducing the environmental impact of its production processes, using cleaner energy, and optimizing resource consumption, as well as promoting training and stable employment in its rural environment.
This recognition, awarded by Forbes Spain and UBS, reinforces the company’s commitment to a responsible growth model and the evolution of the shipbuilding industry towards more efficient and sustainable practices.
