GONDAN launches its sixth CSOV for Edda Wind
This afternoon, GONDAN Shipbuilders celebrated the launching of the sixth Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) for Edda Wind.
The vessel, identified with the number C504 and designed by Salt Ship Design, stands out for its advanced and sustainable features. With a length of 88.3 meters and a beam of 19.7 meters, the new building C504 is equipped with zero-emission technology, can accommodate 120 people, and is fitted with the most modern and automated equipment. Notable features include a 3D offset offshore crane, an offset offshore gangway with a 30-meter outreach, and an integrated lift with a 26-person capacity, making it ideal for complex operations in offshore wind farm maintenance.
The series of six vessels built by GONDAN for Edda Wind consolidates the shipyard as a world leader in the construction of specialized vessels for the offshore renewable energy sector, underlining the importance of innovation and sustainability in today’s maritime industry.
