GONDAN delivered a new GRP ferry
GONDAN Shipbuilders has just delivered a new ferrry for the shipowner Líneas Romero, Alejandro R, built in GRP and with capacity for 354 passengers.
The vessel, with 36.45 m length and 9 m beam, has been designed to sail at 20 knots. It has two decks, one closed and the other one open, with a bar area in both, always complying with the very high standard of interior design of the most recent boats of the company from La Graciosa, which will allocate the ferry for the transport of passengers between Órzola (Lanzarote) and La Graciosa.
Alejandro R. is an innovative catamaran, designed for the comfort and enjoyment of its passengers, both on line trips and excursions. It has been built with the latest revision of the usual hull shapes of GONDAN’s GRP catamarans, optimizing the lines and the central bow to adapt the performance of this vessel to its operating speeds, in open waters of the Chinijo Archipelago, the most extensive marine reserve in Europe.
It is the second time that GONDAN Shipbuilders builds a vessel for this shipowner. Lineas Romero has a regular service of maritime lines between the islands of Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and La Graciosa. In addition, it also offers excursions and tourist experiences with specialized guides among the Canary Islands, such as cruises on boats with marine vision, sailing catamarans and various water activities. It is a family business with a firm commitment to innovation, as it has fast, modern technology with the latest technology.
