Christmas Solidarity in Figueras 2021
Astilleros GONDAN and the workers council distribute 5430 euros in donations.
Once again, and following the success of previous years, the workers council of Astilleros GONDAN has carried out a Christmas lottery campaign including a financial donation. On this occasion, the workers of the shipyard and its subcontractors, with the collaboration of the company itself, have donated the amount collected, distributing it among the entities Fraternidad and Fundación Edes (1400 euros each), the association Galbán (1400 euros) as well as 1230 euros dedicated to the collection of basic necessities promoted by the Castropol City Council.
Fraternidad is a non-profit association oriented to provide comprehensive care to people with intellectual disabilities over 16 years of age, while the Edes is also a non-profit entity that has been working in the rural area of the north-west of Asturias and the Mariña Lucense since 1999, offering specialized services and support that guarantee the exercise of the rights, the access to resources and the social inclusion of each person with disabilities in the rural environment. The Association of Families of Children with Cancer of the Principality of Asturias “Galbán” was created in 2001 in response to the needs of the parents of children with cancer, who receive treatment at the Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA).
