GONDAN celebrates its centenary with an institutional act and a great popular party
In GONDAN Shipyards, we have celebrated this weekend our 100th anniversary with two great events, paying tribute to our great trajectory and tradition.
Last Friday, April 25th, we celebrated an institutional act that gathered many suppliers, businessmen and important authorities, among them the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, who, during his speech, emphasized GONDAN’s capacity to innovate without losing its roots. The President of the Principality of Asturias, Adrián Barbón, also intervened and highlighted the key role of GONDAN asa generator of employment and wealth in western Asturias, and Almudena López del Pozo, CEO of PYMAR, gave a speech.
The event also included a tour of our facilities, where the attendees could see our latest vessel CSOV Austri Enabler and enjoy a ride along the estuary in one of our 100% electric catamarans made in our fiber division, Alveóla-Amarela.
The celebration continued on Saturday, April 26. The shipyard opened its doors to receive 1,500 people, among them its workers and closest relatives and numerous neighbors from Figueras and the region. The attendees were able to enjoy a visit on board the CSOV Austri Enabler and a large popular party with octopus, music and children’s activities in a festive atmosphere that filled the Figueras dock with people
